The LandCare Center is a partnership organization that works to build the capacity of local landcare groups and to advance the theory and practice of landcare. The LandCare Center is the first of its kind in North America and it serves as a model for other university-community engagement programs in other locations.

The LandCare Center’s activities include:

• Facilitate the formation and organizational development of local landcare groups;
• Assist landcare groups with resource assessment, information management, decision support, strategic planning, fundraising, and project implementation;
• Support networking and coordination among landcare groups and practitioners at the local, regional, national, and international levels;
• Provide outreach and technology transfer based on lessons learned.
